Managing Risk

Risk Assurance is the new name for a collection of teams that have now been joined together. These former teams - Risk Management, Complaints, Clinical Governance & Clinical Audit, and Information Governance - now fall under one umbrella.  You can read about our general approach to managing risks in Performing to the Highest Standards.

Patient safety

The Risk Assurance team ensures that we comply with a multitude of laws, policies and guidelines that apply to our work.   Right at the top of the list, not surprisingly, is patient safety.

Advice and training

The team provides advice and training on:

  • health and safety
  • patient safety
  • information governance
  • risk management.
