Request your records

You have the legal right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can request your information free of charge, although a reasonable fee may be charged in some cases, for example if repeated requests are made.

Accessing personal information about your child

Information about children may be released to a person with parental responsibility. However, the best interests of the child will always be considered. Even if a child is very young, data about them is still their personal data and does not belong to anyone else. It is the child who has a right of access to the information held about them.

Before responding to a request for information held about a child, we will consider whether the child is mature enough to understand their rights and, if so, we will respond to the child rather than the person with parental responsibility.

Accessing Information about someone else

You may only access information about someone else if you are an authorised representative, have parental responsibility, are acting on behalf of that person, or there is a lawful basis for the disclosure.
