'Out of the blue' music single for mental wellbeing


Following our unique collaboration with rethinkyourmind for the LPT Yellow Book competition, we have released a new music single based on the winning poem by Steve Waldon. Watch the music video and spread the sound! The LPT Yellow Book of 30 winners, from an amazing 300 entries of poems, photography and art, will be launched for free distribution on 5 July. Each submission was on the theme of 'I feel better when...' forming a collection of positive wellbeing and signposting information.

Launch of an 'All Age Place of Safety' at mental health unit


Our redesigned place of safety facility at the Bradgate Unit will be open from Monday 5 June, providing separate, discreet accommodation for adults and for young people under 18 in mental health crisis while they wait to receive a mental health assessment.

Smiles all round as 'Shine Time' launches on Health for Kids


LPT is delighted to be marking the start of National Smile Month with the launch of a fantastic new toothbrushing game, ‘Shine Time – Stop That Sugar!’, on our Health for Kids website ( which encourages children to take steps to protect their teeth.

LPT nurse wins national title


Staff nurse Lesley Wright has been named mentor of the year in the Student Nursing Awards. Eight of the student nurses she worked with at Hinckley and Bosworth Community Hospital nominated her for the title.

Hundreds expected at Trust recruitment event

Accreditation for eating disorders ward


Langley Ward, a regional centre providing specialist care and support for adults with eating disorders, has maintained its accreditation status in recognition of the high quality of patient care.

Hayley raises Marathon £2,500


LPT technical instructor Hayley Biggs has raised £2,500 by completing the London Marathon. She broke both her personal best for the distance, and her fundraising target. The cash will be used by our charitable fund Raising Health to buy specialist patient equipment.

Winners announced for the LPT Yellow Book Competition 2017, an innovative mental health project in partnership with charity rethinkyourmind


Today (Monday 24 April), Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) and mental health arts charity, rethinkyourmind, are delighted to announce the winners of The LPT Yellow Book Competition 2017. This innovative collaboration, a first of its kind for an NHS Trust, celebrated positive mental health and wellbeing by asking the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to submit art, photography and poetry inspired by the line: 'I feel better when I am…’.

Votes needed to back Leicester bid for national poetry accolade


An NHS-backed Leicester poetry event that has featured a ‘who’s who’ of nationally acclaimed artists is in the running for a national award by public vote. ‘WORD!, is delivered by the voluntary organisation of the same name in partnership with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) and the city’s Y Theatre.
