Homeless Service for Adult Mental Health

What Does Our Service Do?

We offer engagement, mental health assessment and referral to mainstream mental health and support services - for people age 16+ who are homeless in Leicester (rough sleeping / hostels) or staying in temporary accommodation (sofa surfing etc).

How Does Our Service Work?

We are a team of three mental health nurses, one part-time psychiatrist, one psychologist and one part-time team secretary.

Our service is delivered from:

  • Daily “drop-in” service (Mon – Fri 9 - 11) within Healthcare suite at the Dawn Centre, Conduit st, Leicester, LE2 0JN – for people to “self refer”
  • Visits / appointments within hostels / GP surgeries / clinics etc
  • Other venues by pre-arranged appointment (telephone).

How Can You Access Our Service?

To access our service you can:

  • Speak to your GP
  • Speak to any other healthcare professional or anyone involved in your care
